Leslie Cristea, is Founder of Making Marriage Matter, LLC. She’s a retired Navy Veteran, speaker, and a Certified Relationship Specialist. While suffering in silence as a victim of domestic violence, undergoing a long and difficult divorce, and continuing her priorities in leading sailors and caring for her children, she realized her love for serving and supporting others. Therefore, she continued her service to military families, in her post-military career, while furthering her education and completing her masters degree. Mrs. Cristea is a seasoned human service professional and an educator of numerous quality of life topics. Mrs. Cristea specializes in personal and professional relationships. She is a military spouse and passionate about helping others improve communication in order to RESTORE troubled relationships with self and others. Her primary goal is to help couples truly “commit to commitment” by making marriage matter in a way that provides a safe, secure, and loving environment for the entire family.
Kai Faison: Administration
Kai Faison is a native of Norfolk, VA. She is the Director of the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). Kai was present on March 2006 at the signing of the original MOU and has been an active member ever since. She enjoys working with the variety of community agencies involved in helping victims of family violence.
Jamie Acree: Co-Chair
Jamie Acree is a Hampton Roads native. She is a Master Police Officer with the Newport News Police Department where she has served for over 22 years. While employed with NNPD she has worked High Impact Policing, Narcotics, FBI Task Force, and currently serves with the Community Outreach Unit. She became Co-chairman of the HRMCFVPC in 2017!
